Find Me considers one of the most important cooperation principles to be adherence to confidentiality, which relates to information rendered by our clients. This confidentiality statement regulates the main principles of rendering the Find Me Services. Please be aware, that the information concerning Your location and Your User Materials is available only to persons, who are other Find Me Users, and whom You have granted access to this information.
The majority of our clients will use the Find Me Services to acquire information about the location of another person, without any wrong intention. However, it is necessary to note, that fundamentally, the information on Your location in real-time mode can be used by third parties against You. In order to avoid such situations, You need to carefully follow the availability status of the information, which relates to the User Materials placed by You, as well as to Your location.
You also need to be aware, that any private information, User Materials, or data on Your location, which You consciously publish on Find Me (notes in the journal, review of events and meeting points, announcements of events etc.) will become publicly available, and can be read, used and commented by other Users, whom you have granted access to this information. Find Me does not bear responsibility for any private information, or for information on Your location, which You, being a Find Me User, have published on Your own initiative.

 

GENERAL PROVISIONS
This Confidentiality statement sets forth in detail the terms of use and disclosure of the User Information, which is acquired through the intermediary of the Find Me Services. Find Me has drawn out this Confidentiality statement in order to help You make a conscious decision about the use of the Find Me Services.
This Confidentiality statement is an integral part and the subject of the Agreement on rendering the Find Me Services. Your use of the Find Me Services, as well as any private information rendered to Find Me, is the subject of the Confidentiality statement and the Terms of Use of the Find Me Services.

 

CONDITIONS OF DISCLOSURE OF THE LOCATION-RELATED INFORMATION
While using the Find Me Services, the persons, whom You have granted access and who are the Find Me Users, have a possibility to see, where You are at the present moment, as well as become acquainted with Your User Materials. Please be aware, that when the mobile phone is off, the Find Me system stores the coordinates of the last location of the mobile phone, when it was on and within GPS range. You hereby certify, that you agree and bear responsibility for the displaying of data, which relate to Your location and User Materials within the rendering of the Find Me services. You have the right to decline the Find Me services at any time.
While registering for the reception of the Find Me Services, You agree, that:
(a) the data, which relate to Your location and Your User Materials, will be available only to the persons, whom You granted this access within the possibilities of Find Me;
(b) there are 3 types of access to information, which relates to location and the User Materials, in the Find Me system. The User can change the access type at his discretion and at any time .
The types of access:
1. "friends-only" - the coordinates of Your location, as well as Your User Materials, are available only to the persons, whom You have granted access to this information. No information, which relates to Your location and Your User Materials, is available to the person, who is outside the circle of Your friends.
2. "available for everyone" - the information, which relates to Your location, as well as Your User Materials, are available to ALL Users of Find Me , who have Your mobile phone number at their disposal;
3. "invisible" - the information, which relates to Your location, as well as Your User Materials, are not available, no one can see, where you are, nor view Your User Materials.
You have an opportunity to invite any of the Users of Find Me to the friends' group, and to define for him the type of access to information, which relates to Your location and Your User Materials.
Likewise, any of the Users of Find Me can send You an SMS, which contains an invitation to join his/her friends' group. You can either accept or decline this invitation.
Find Me does not bear responsibility for the consequences, which resulted or could result in future in connection with You wrongly interpreting, not fully comprehending or incompletely perceiving the information, which relates to the types of access to the information on Your location and Your User Materials.

 

INFORMATION COLLECTED BY FIND ME
• User registration data: In order to subscribe to the Find Me Services, You must furnish Find Me with definite data (mobile phone number, Your name, e-mail address, birth date, password etc.)
• Information placed in the Find Me User Profile: In order to create a page with personal profile and to use the journal functions (review of events, meeting points, publications, sending messages to other Users), You consciously render definite private information (time, location of events, access status etc.) which, within the framework of the Find Me Services, can be accessed by third parties, who are the Users of Find Me, whom You have granted access to this information.
• Information on Your location: the User, whom you have granted access to this information, acquires information on Your location with the help of the GPS system.

THE USAGE OF THE FIND ME INFORMATION
• In order to remember information, Find Me uses cookie files and the log file information in such a way, that You will not have to return to it during Your visit, or, when visiting the Find Me Services next times;
• Find Me has the right to use the e-mail address or mobile phone number indicated by You at any time and without Your additional consent, for marketing, non-marketing or managerial purposes, to inform You of the changes in the conditions of rendering the Find Me Services, to send notices, which are related to confidentiality or security, etc.
• Find Me does not disclose information, which relates to You, to other companies for marketing use and advertising, without Your consent.
• Find Me has the right to render personally identifiable and non-private information to subsidiary enterprises of Find Me, as well as to business partners, in order to provide the Find Me Services. The main requirement in relation to the usage of this information is that third parties would use this information pursuant to the Confidentiality statement of Find Me. Find Me reasonably limits the usage of such information, as well as demands from the third parties to observe general provisions on confidentiality and security measures.
• When fulfilling the legislative requirements and the requirements of the law-enforcement institutions, Find Me has the right to render information, which relates to You.
In order to provide confidentiality and security, before the User is granted access to the profile and to an opportunity to make amendments, Find Me takes necessary steps in order to identify the User. The User bears responsibility for the provision of security of his unique password and account information. The history of the User’s location is stored in his account.

THE SECURITY OF THE USER-PROVIDED INFORMATION
Find Me guarantees the security of the User-provided information within reasonable limits. However, Find Me cannot guarantee the security of all information, which the User has provided; also, the responsibility for the information rendered to Find Me lies solely on the User. Find Me does not guarantee, that the information, which the User has rendered, will not be accessible, disclosed, altered or deleted.
If Find Me states breaches in its security system, the User will be informed thereof (electronically), so that he could take appropriate security measures. The information of corresponding contents might also be placed at the Find Me Web page.

INTERNATIONAL USERS
The Find Me Services are rendered on the territory of the Republic of Latvia and the European Union. If You use the Find Me Services on the territory of European Union or other countries, all provisions of this Contract apply to You.

 

THE ORDER, IN WHICH THIS CONFIDENTIALITY STATEMENT IS ALTERED AND BECOMES VALID
This confidentiality statement can be altered at regular times without prior notice. In order to become acquainted with the alterations in due time, You need to visit the Find Me Web page at regular times. Generally, Find Me uses acquired personal data within the limits described in the confidentiality statement, which has been valid at that point of time. If Find Me receives the User's consent to the confidentiality statement and its subsequent alterations, he can use the Find Me services also in future. In case Find Me adopts a decision to change the confidentiality policy, Find Me will publish alterations to this statement also in other documents, so that the User would be informed, which data are collected by Find Me, how Find Me utilizes these data, and in which cases Find Me has the right to disclose them.
The Find Me confidentiality statement has become valid on 14 November 2008.
